“I am a French-Swiss Photographer driven by my passion for nature, outdoors and travel. When I’m not working in IT, I’m chasing light and stars to create nature and landscape photography and more recently astrophotography.
I seek out different locations to experience true wilderness, away from crowds, cities, and the stress of everyday life. Visiting wild areas is a form of meditation for me, where I get to completely relax and appreciate the incredible beauty of mother nature. I try to convey the emotion I feel and the sense of wonder I have when I see such beauty in nature.
All different light conditions as well as different seasons and daytimes give every picture a new character and make landscape photography extremely versatile for digital photography but even more for film. Everything can change fast, which makes it really hard to make detailed plans for your trips.
Landscape photography, already defined by its unpredictability, takes on even more challenges at night. Temperatures drop, sites close, and stars rarely behave. But if you willing to brave the elements and the unknowns, night photography offers a whole new kind of canvas to play with. It’s more artistic in the sense that what you photograph and edit rarely looks like what you can see just with your eyes.”
In 2018, I switched from a heavy DSLR to Sony Alpha full frame mirrorless cameras and was thrilled with the innovation and reliability. Since then, I have built up my equipment fleet with Sony whether it is for my primary or my astro modified camera. Check out my Alpha Universe profile for a list of my gear.
Nature First promotes the protection and preservation of the world’s natural and wild places through inspiring, educating, and uniting everyone making photographs and videos in nature. Because the change is constant and our experience today likely different, nothing you can do will ultimately prevent natural places from changing, this is why I have joined the alliance for responsible nature photography.
